On Saturday night, I met Brian Chippendale. He gave Gabriel, James, and I a little tour of his studio and Lightning Bolt's practice space. I was excited and forgot to take pictures. But this is his "collage" room. The other studio had a wall full of comic books. And the practice space was filled with white light and rainbow lazer beams. We drank peppermint tea and hot cider in his kitchen.

He and his girlfriend share an entire warehouse floor which was full of art and stuff.

This is James. He draws really awesome comics that remind me of Ron Rege and John Porcellino. After we polished off our 40oz's, I gave James a ride in a wheelchair that was made from a shopping cart. We arrived at the Think Tank, which we climbed inside of.

I think this is the hand from the giant ogre that was at the RISD show. As you can see, it fits James perfectly.

G. Gnarly Crap Shop was a free shop full of "junk" that was free for the taking.

I got 4 cassette tapes: Prince's first album, Stand By Me soundtrack, Victoria's Secret presents Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite, and a demo tape that had DOPETRAX written on it with an RI phone number.

There was this amazing homemade synthesizer that made beautiful sounds, but it was $250. They were also giving away really hard cookies that tasted like Bisquick. Suddenly, pancakes sounded really good.

So we paid a visit to the Seaplane.
